Belgrade, the capital of Serbia and Montenegro is situated in the southeast Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula, at the mouth of the Sava into the Danube. Its geographic position is 4449`14" of north geographic latitude and 2027;44" of east geographic longitude. Beside Athens, it is the largest urban unit on the Balkans.
